North Central Iowa | Caleb you must have caught more rain than we did even though you are close to me or you haven't been out pulling ears. We will be lucky to yield 80 bu after the last couple of hot weeks. We have lost half of the ear length and it doesnt matter if you are strip till or not. UP here we have had 1.55" of rain since June 20th and that wont make a good corn crop. I have deep Dinsdale soils that will hang with the best of them but it has been too dry here. the ears on the edge of the field look great. | |
