In our area it's looking like yields are going to be a little below average this year but nothing to the extent of insurance claims unless we end up with some hail later on. It's amazing how well these crops can hold on with such little moisture. Maybe it's just in our area but what I'm wondering is once the combines start rolling how many of you think that even with all the talk about 70-100bu corn (or less) there is going to be a lot more corn yielding just above that insurance claim mark?


I think there is going to be a lot of corn better than what people think. Not here as we have missed all the rains all summer but all of the people to the north while dry have got rains here and there. From Champaign north there will be lots of 140+ corn.
