South Central, Iowa | I'd actually rather give shots in the pens. I get them all down to one end of the pen and let them circle around the outside, and get them as they run by. There's too much to reach around in crates and have to worry about getting pinched. Farrowing crates aren't so bad, but gestation crates aren't my favorite to give shots in. I don't like the slap shot either. I guess I'm just weird and don't mind vaccinating them in the pen. | |
