We pile and pack corn silage between two rows of round bales. Mostly because that is what we have to work with. I would like to have a nice bagger or concrete bunker, but that costs alot of money. Although, as my neighbor pointed out, with todays hay prices, there is alot of money tied up in the bales that I used to make the bunker and they tend to deteriorate a bit before the pile gets fed.
What feed do you pile, bag or bale?
