Northwest Illinois
+1 shopmanbob. My dad taught me that trick years ago, we use a come along though. Makes at least a 20 mph difference. He also just hauled a 25ft JD 235 disk 650 miles on a deck over bumper hitch trailer behind a 3/4 ton powerstroke. Took the center frame gangs and outside transport tires/ spindles out to get it down to 10 ft wide. Then he rested the frame on some timbers on the trailer deck to save height. Worked good but would start swaying at times due to it being top heavy. A dually would have been preferred. A customer said he just pulled a 30ft JD 335 disk home from somewhere in KS to NW IL. He put the center gangs on his flat bed dually and said he could maintain 45-50 mph. I imagine a 26ft Sunflower would weigh about as much. Good luck to you.
