I was wondering the same thing, seems like a LONG time to cook those chops. Mine are about an inch, and I just made 8 of them for company today. I have it on high heat and sear each side for a minute or two, then turn it down to medium, watch for flare ups and keep turning and I think they were done in another 10 minutes. Good and juicy too.
