We don't grow any, but there are lots of sugar beets here.  None of them are irrigated.  They seem to be looking ok.  They do need rain like everything else.  They were talking about starting harvest the last week of aug. this year because they had such a good crop coming.  They didn't know if they could process them all.  They even debated working some up so guys could plant drybeans in June.  I'll bet there glad they waited to see.
