You could find a used spool gun for a relatively decent price on eBay or mayb Craigslist. But a tig machine that would be worth having to do aluminum is gonna set ya back a lot more.
For smaller stuff the tig would be my choice
For heavier stuff with lots of weld length the spool gun prevails
