N FLA
Woke up to water in the backyard this am. Dumped rain gauge before bed and in morning 13" total. Wife saw on Facebook a friend / neighbor left there house in mid of night. They were coming home to get what they could. We floated my kayaks into their house and hauled out irreplaceable items. At that time, NWS predicted 8-12" for the day. I did not think at that time, my home would stay above water, and my wife went around and moved everything at least 12" off the floor. Fortunately only 3.8 more inches today. Now it has stopped raining and we are still dry. Many of my neighbors have flooded. This is just upland flooding, no rivers lakes etc. Ive been watching live oak on weather channel. Which is where I work. A friend said his farm/home in live oak had 20.5". Some areas had 25" of rain since June 1, from Beryl, and a tropical wave that parked over the area for a week. So 20 more today didn't soak well. Here are some pics of my neighborhood. I stayed close all day ready to leave with family. Check out the crop damage and roads tomorrow.
