Subject: Re: soybean seed

Osakis, MN
I think the ripoff would be for the farmer-seed grower in the small seed area, he receives a couple dollar premium for growing seed, turns out to be small seed. Seed company then pays farmer say 15.00 for a full bushel. Seed company then divides the small bb's into 140,000 units and makes off like a bandit at 45 to 50 dollars a unit for 37 pound bags of seed. Pretty easy way to turn 15.00 into close to a hundred for little to no work in the game I'd say! Edited to say if I was a seed grower I'd sell the beans back to the company by the unit, that wound only be fair, and for all I know that might be how it's done now.
