SW MN and Gold Canyon AZ | Depends on seed size. In my area 90% of the seed was 2800 seeds per lb or smaller (and normally is)and the average bag weight was less than 50 lbs. If you go north the seed sizes were even smaller and bag weights lighter. So in these cases farmers got less than a 50 lb bag.
I did get some seedstock from argentina that was 62.5 lb bags, huge seed!! Wow I got a workout loading the planter. forgot what it was like lifting 60 plus lb bags | |
