Guymon, OK | Got three tenths at the house and where we're cutting wheat, a field a mile south got 1.4in and some light hail, and a neighbor five miles south got just over three inches. Some corn in the area got beat up pretty good. I think it'll mostly recover, but it's going to be a long road. As usual, where we really need the rain in order to get some ground cover only got a sprinkle.
We finally gave up waiting for a rain to plant milo on an 80ac patch. I put the finger meters back in to start on some doublecrop corn for a neighbor tomorrow, then I can put the planter away for the year. | |
