| Ray was talking old crop corn. Probably July-August delivery time frame. At some point old crop and new crop basis will converge. Ray was making the point that one should not carry corn through this convergence.
Did you finally get some rain Garvo? Another 1.5" here.
As far as unit trains, the cost is much higher as you are paying for trucks to deliver to a distant elevator, that elevator to load it, and then the rail freight. Why not cut out steps 2 and 3. Plus, with all the extra handling, blending, etc, the corn quality is generally not as good.
