We've had really good luck with a plastic welder we bought...have fixed MULTIPLE cracks on many different types of plastic, including poly water tanks. This is the welder we have http://www.urethanesupply.com/Airless-Welders-1/Model-6-Airless-Pla... It's a little spendy, but we haven't had a failed crack repair yet and we've had it for around 3 years.
