"Every year is different". Isn't that the truth. A guy can do Every single thing right, and the heat and the (lack of) water will make it a wreck. A guy can do everything wrong, and some water and moderate temperatures can make it a bumper crop. This is surely the only occupation there is where we have so little control of our own destiny. My farm is irrigated, and I can control the water to a pretty good extent, and they talk of 'micro climates' during irrigating to control temperatures, but it Still comes down to Mother Nature, and what she does. Tough game to play, but it sure is fun!
