Central Iowa | I think you are just fine. I actually think the ability to keep the N stable this spring has been about the best case scenario. Especially for COC early season mineralization occurred and helped deal with some of the carbon issues. Combine that with the fact that in our area we havn't had any heavy leaching rains and I think the N is right where we want it. Sure am not seeing alot of the "ugly corn syndrome" that normally appears around V4 which tells me the N is available and plentiful. That being said I've sent in nitrate samples so we will see what comes back. | |
