| Here in the central part of Michigan we haven't gotten any significant rain in almost a month. The worked ground has pretty much all the moisture zapped out of it, the no till isn't far behind. The wheat is starting to die on the sand hills and light ground. On the up side I haven't had to cut my grass for 2 weeks because it's not growing, looks like July or August in my yard. Got a chance of rain this weekend but I will believe it when I see it. Had a 60% chance downgraded to 30% for saturday, 50% on sunday still.
A few weeks ago about 60 miles south of me in Flint they got 9 inches of rain in 3 hours, we only got a little over 0.1 out of the same storm. I don't know which is worse at this point. I would have rather been in the middle and got a decent amount but can't control that. | |
