High Springs, Florida | I like to do tri tip steak/roast on the grill. It is a thicker cut of meat, almost could be considered a roast. Season with your favorite steak seasoning and grill it off to the side of the coals, or fire, so it can cook it a little longer. I like to do a half hour per side with the lower heat. After cooking slice into thin slices,(against the grain of the meat) plate it up, or make a sandwich out of it.
If you have a Dutch Oven, place it on the grill, cover the bottom with bacon and fry it up, until crispy. Then add a bunch of quartered up new red potatoes and mix in with the fried bacon. Season to your liking and cook until potatoes are done, with the lid on the oven. If you want, add other things with the potatoes into the pot. Possibilities are endless.
