| I just bought an ingersoll rand 3/4" air impact wrench (looks similar to model 259 on their website) but I can't seem to get any real power. They say use a minimum 3/8" air line, so I went with a 1/2" (50 ft length). I have a Sanborn 60 gallon air compressor with a 3-piston pump - and tried the wrench around 90 psi.
I have an electric 1/2" impact wrench that is rated less than 300 ft-lbs of torque, but this air wrench currently has less power than that.
For most jobs around the shop, my 1/2" electric impact works great - I bought this air impact for bigger stuff like tractors, semis, grain carts, etc.
Any ideas? | |
