Alberta, Canada | I've got to agree with Jim that polywire isn't ideal for temp fences. Not strong enough, hence it breaks and hence no fence. I used 1/16" aircraft cable and rebar posts last winter for bale grazing. Was pretty well satisfied. The cable came on a 3000' reel, has no shape memory and is TOUGH! A couple of times it fouled when I was unreeling it with the ranger and I felt it slowing the ranger and got stopped without breaking it. If cows blow thru it it just snaps back. The steel posts did cause the occasional grounding but you are pretty well stuck with them in frozen ground. | |
