If the auger is gone, look around for an auger out of a TMR mixer that has the right flighting on it. We were able to find an old one to put in our Deere slinger. Worn out TMR auger is probably stouter than what was in there before. We had to have stubs made to hang ours that bolted onto the flanges on the end of the auger.

Most of the time, an auger like that will be located by a collar against the bearings. Usually the most effective one will be on the end that tends to move toward the bearing instead of pulling out of the bearing, but having one on both ends isn't a bad idea. Depending on a lock collar to hold something like that isn't a very good idea.
