Go with 12 ft if you lay 9 ft wide row its to hard to stay on the row you need room on each side for drift. We matched our cutting (10.5 1411 NH) with a H&S HM9. I would fell that a 12 ft would be what you would want for 13 ft. How smoth are your fields? You should be able to merge as fast as you cut. We used ours when ever we had a man for it, it was an awsome tool.
