ALTUS,OKLA73521 | I grew up on a farm in the 50's . It was hard work. I went to college to learn a profession so I would not have to chop cotton, haul hay etc. I became a medical Dr . worked as hard as I would on a farm. I seemed to want to come back to the farm. I have been blessed in that I have a son who also wanted to farm. have invested all of these years in farm land and farm alfalfa , cotton, and cattle. I retired 2 years ago so I can see the fruits of my labor . I love the freedom to make my own mistakes and see the reward of good decisions . I am sorry I waited so long to retire. My son takes care of the farming, and I do what I can to make the farming easier and make the land more productive. I love to be on a bulldozer . putting in tile, making grassed waterways. and leveling land. I think Heaven will have some farm land and trees for me to take out. | |
