I would go with the high tensile steel. I don't think it will dent as easy. I bought a aftermarket pickup bed years ago that was the same gauge as the factory but it would dent very easy compaired to the factory one. Same thing with tailgates. The aftermarkets were soft steel and the factory was tempered. Have them send you a sample and and hit them with a hammer.
