I have rubber closers on the interplant units on my Kinze and 13" Martins with drag chains on the back. I can't tell any difference. The only thing with the spike wheels is that if you plant any tilled acres, rootballs are a big problem. If you are interested in pictures of drag chain guards, I have made some. They are easy to make.
