Subject: 1960's air compressor

I have a 1960's era 5hp air compressor that I've had for 20 plus years (216 36 on pump, possibly Binks). Have replaced tank and motor years back. Have set pressure as high as possible 5 years ago at 115psi. After it cycles once or twice it trips motor starter. Starter contacts look burnt. Do I need a new starter or pressure switch or both? I would like more pressure but I think it would require a new pressure switch(old one is maxed out). Is this compressor capable of more psi? Do you guys think it is worth spending $300 on old compressor or should I retire it and buy new? It is certainly a heavy duty old dude.
