guess you were never stuck in town until your parents could pick you up as a kid - with no place to go the library was my refuge ... small town lib's are safe place for country (and town) kids who aren't in sports, etc. The rules of good behavior apply of course ... librarians are not babysitters. I learned a lot of neat stuff browsing through books I never would have seen on the Internet :)
Do we really need small town libraries?
