Subject: Do we really need small town libraries?

East central Iowa

I wonder if we shouldn't be upgrading our Internet so that everyone can have 10MB or faster Internet.  There are free books online for Kindle and Nook as well as existing in PDF format.

Many magazines now offer a CD or DVD of their periodical and some actually only print the summary of a test leaving the data up on the web.

Information is almost instantaneous using Google to search compared to asking a question at the library.

A better use of money might be to close small town libraries and invest in more accessible Internet?  Why not put the books online where they don't have to be lost or stolen?

Save the energy that is used for traveling to a library.
