Subject: RE: Happy new yr?

NW IOWA
Yesterday we drove 2 hours on icy roads. Went out for dinner with mom. Spent couple of hours chatting-eating. Went to MIL and FIL spent several hours visiting, then 2 hour drive back home on icy roads. Got home and felt sad that we were not able to spend more of our time with them. They are all in fair health but getting older. Dad passed 4 years ago. He went fast and we never had a chance to say goodby, but we didn't need to. We were content with his passing as we felt our lives had been full and complete while he was with us. We loved him and he loved us, and we all knew it. It's hard to watch lives move on as they age, but we try to have peace that we have always treated them with the highest respect and love. They realize we can't be there all the time. I hope our children treat us the same way we have treated our parents. There is nothing wrong with praying for them to be able to continue their journey to everlasting life. When living is over life is over and the new perfect life awaits. We pray for her for a peaceful passing and that your family can unite and bind together at this trying time. At times like this it can either bind a family together or break them apart and I have seen both. Look in your mothers face and know she is looking at the great family she raised. God Bless and take care.
