Subject: RE: Demco Conquest Sprayer

I don't know why anyone would say that the Conquest is a cheaper sprayer. Take a look at the main frame on this thing. It is the only sprayer I know of that has a 11" frame. Many of the sprayers have only a 4" tubing style frame. It is a one piece frame that is formed, not a bunch of square tubing that is chopped up and welded together. I watched the 1600 gal Conquest with a 90' boom in a field demo at Husker Harvest last fall in Grand Island Nebraska and was nothing short of AMAZED. The operator took this sprayer kiddy korner down corn rows at 10 mph or more and the boom responded like it was being used on a super highway. The Demco conquest ran up against the Best Way and Top Air sprayers and those two did not even come close to the same performance. Alot of people think the Top Air is one of the upper class of sprayers but at this demo it performed the worst by far. I have owned the 1100 gal conquest with the 90' boom since 1999 and at this point it has worked great. If I were to buy another sprayer today I would truly be willing to pay top dollar for this unit over some of the other so called cadillac brand units. In reference to the Sprayer Specialties brand, if they were such high quality why would they be retailed through a farm fleet store like they are in South Dakota? I will give the Fast and Bestway units high marks but certainly not the Sprayer Specialties and Top Air. I have also found the Demco company to be VERY helpfull with any kind of help or questions I have had over the years. I had one hydraulic cylinder fail when the sprayer was three years old. They replaced it at no charge. I don't see that happening with other companies.
