Subject: Re: corn drying question for Ed

Martinsville, Ohio
At 28 degrees, not much drying going on but it will keep if you have driven all of the heat out of the kernal. Comment on if it doesn't spoil first is a good one so check it often, time to pull a load or two out right now even if you put it back in the same bin.

You see the equilibrium chart stops at 35 degrees F, good reason for that. Don't know what Gerald is referring to.

Never thought of the fan motor heating the air any but that makes sense and most models the motor is behind the fan unless you are pulling air from the top and blowing it out the bottom.

I am the last guy in the world to ask about drying corn, I email pester several readers on here regularly and they keep telling me the same thing.

Temp plus humidity is about 100 right now here, first time since it started raining Sunday.

Good luck, Dean.
