Hello Mace and others interested in rolling cover or cash crop residue,
I don't mean to hijack Mace's thread but I am wondering if any of you have watched videos at the following links that feature rolling with larger equipment.
the first video in each pair is footage from April 2011 while the second is about 4 months later.
the first time we rolled cereal rye for an organic no-till bean experiment, we used a cultimulcher with the c-shanks lifted.
it seemed to work as well as the custom built roller (with angle iron for crimping) that we have used in subsequent years.
