I have a 900 totally stock except with yetter trash wheels. Been no-tilling corn & soy for almost 10 years with success. Just make sure all your parts & pieces are up to snuff, yes near perfect openers are very important. Might have to tighten your down pressure springs a little. Maybe not if your gonna run dry fert. I think red row units are superior for no-till because of the offset openers, thus narrower seed trench, thus less sidewall compaction.
