Downtown Shell Knob MO Come Visit! | I did that will alfalfa for grazing once. My only two problems were the seed cost and spraying for the weevil. If Im going to do that, I might as well spend the 3 dollars an acre on RR. I guess orchardgrass is a different story than old junk pasture though. We alway seed orchardgrass or novel fescue into the alfalfa. But I bet the opposite works great.
All the legumes work well into heavily grazed or spotty pasture. But they will make a crown and decent root without the infared light that a grass plant needs for tillering. |
