Central Kansas | Was thinking of doing something similiar. Was going to plant 2 rows and leave 2 rows blank so you actually have 22.5" space to plant instead of 15". To make that come out you plant with the first drill row, block next 2, plant next 2, and so on till you have one planting on the other end. If you want to leave only one blank row for every 30" it doesnt come out quite even but it could be done.
