Before the McCormick and Deering merger, both McCormick and Deering produced a twine-tie grain binder. With the merger which became McCormick Deering they kept the McCormick knotter and sold the Deering. With all the mergers/aquisitions today, I don't know who uses McCormick and who uses Deering knotters, but in the old days if you had an IH baler it was a McCormick knotter, everything else had a Deering.
