Subject: Re: fielders choice seed corn?

People I'm not talking about one traited hybrid to another traited hybrid from one company to another. Obviously i know there are identical hybrids and same parent lines in different companies. IM TALKING ABOUT TRAITED CORN AGAINST NON GMO'S My gosh... It makes absolutely no sense that a non gmo would yield better then a traited hybrid because the triats are only there for protection. Same genetic line, only protection. There are no yield adding traits in the markeplace yet, only yield protecting, so even if there is no insect pressure, it wouldnt make a traited hybrid do any worse then a conventional. The downside is only on the non gmo's, that is why i think its rediculous to try and strive for higher yields and have that kind of risk out there.
