We have not had traits pay the last four years in a row "here". Have run thousands of acres of true trait side by sides. Refuge vs. traits with the same genetics. Anyone planting thousands of dollars worth of traits as insurance "just in case bugs show up every five years" is crazy. Here the traits also cost you yield. RR corn will yield better then BT, RR, SS everytime. So after paying for the extra traits your getting hit on yield as well. If you have heavy bug pressure traits may pay. Not saying they never pay. Just seems crazy how many people plant them when they don't. | |
