Boy, guess I would be an idiot not to put the highest performing, most protected plant from traits type hybrid out in the field just so I can get cheap seed. Some think there is no difference between traited corn and refuge, and maybe so in a non-stress environment year, but that one year that you have terrible rootworm pressure or earworm or corn boar and all of the sudden you have a 30-60 bu difference between your traited corn and your cheap crap, guess you paid for those traits for like 5 years. Notice how the cheap seed companies never talk about performance, but always lead with how cheap they are.... | |
