north central indiana

NoTill, would the other dc corn ya know about be  around the Mississinewa Damn? We drilled about 60 acres of fuller season dc corn in 15" rows for the chopper. We also tried some 87-+ day corn in 30" rows, hopefully for the combine.   Our dc corn ears look about the same as yours. Pretty big ears that pollinated now if they will all fill out. All of this is non irrigated so it was struggling in the beginning but finally took off! Atleast all the dc corn has had great pollination weather.  Now we are cooling off here in NC indiana so that might hurt the gdu progress a little. All the dc corn was side dressed with a coulter unit. Then foliar fed with Prudent Presto

If the stalks are in good shape I wuld like to see the field corn dry down and shell it in the middle of winter or next spring?  We will find out if we are big or little stars!

Good luck with your dc corn!  Be safe this harvest.

Have a good one,
