They require cars to have brakes, too. Don't they know you can get along fine without them?

Funny you mention that, they're worried if I wear my sealbelt when driving the semi, but as soon as I hit the edge of town I can't legally use 1/2 the braking system on the truck weighing 10-15 times more than your average car because of no jake brake laws.  Government common sense at its finest.
