Not sure I follow your logic. If we can plant soybeans into standing residue just fine, why would we want to chop them or apply N thats going to wash away down to the gulf of mexico? Sounds like your wanting to spend money unnecessarily. What research do you have to show it helps? How much did it cost to make the difference?
