Eastern Iowa | I think what they were saying is that organic matter levels can't build when single crop soybeans are in the rotation. In my observations the year after soybeans it seems like an extra tillage pass was done, residue disappears similar to a primary tillage pass. I really like strip till corn on corn for soil building and yield. Would love to add manure to my fields but don't have access to significant quantities so strip nutrient placement is the next best thing IMO. | |
