Started farming in 1979, graduated from college in 1980.  Used my dad's machinery the first few years.  Own 900, rent probably around 1100 with hayland, etc.  Remodeled the house, and moved in a lot of the livestock buildings.

I do have an off farm job (Post Office), but I consider that to be a deterent right now.  That job is costing me money.

Run cow/calf and sheep, plus corn and beans, and little oats.  As to growing, I don't want it getting any bigger.  I like it where it is and in fact, I gave up a 1/4 of cropland less then a mile from home.  My bottom line looks quit nice without farming half the county, thank you.
