Wallis, TX
Ever heard of a drought? '11, '10, '08, '03, '00, '98 all droughts. Add in '07 & '10 rain ruined the grain crop at harvest and '01 we had 22 inches of rain on our cotton. Yes, you read that right, in 2010 we had a drought, no rain for 60 days in spring and rain still ruined what we did manage to grow. We haven't been able to cash in on any of the 'high' price years, every stinking one of them we had bad crops. I'll stand by what I stated earlier, the only farmers without a farm loan here have an oil well or some other form of off farm income.
