yale, sd | i took tissue samples from a agronomist in this area that i trust very much, and with corn at V4 - V5 the tissue sample came back High or Excessive in everything except Copper, Boron and Sulfer. those 3 micros were all sufficient. this sample was taken on 6-15-11.
On 7-14-11 we took another sample of the same field except due to the busy season, we had a different agronomist take this sample. this field is in the V12-VT stage. this tissue sample came back Deficient in everything except Phosphorus, Boron, and Copper. and these 3 came back as adequate. this doesn't make sense to me.
is it possible for a tissue sample to come back with results like this?
after first sample was taken, we applied Max-in Ultra ZMB at 1 quart rate and also in the same tank mix applied 1 pint of Copper. No glysophate in the mix.
if i really wanted to get this field up to the required levels that it needs to be, it would completly break the bank!
i really dont know if i trust this sample or not. (maybe the agronomist). unsure what to think of this.
Any thoughts or opinions would sure be great.
