southwestern Wisconsin | Another vetch to consider is chickling vetch. Will produce more N than Hairy Vetch...in fact, when in full bore growth, has been said to be producing 5 lbs of N per day! The major difference is that 80% of the nitrogen production is above ground so you will have to work it under to get the N benefit. You can find it in conventional seed or organic seed. | |
