NW Iowa | a few years back I got suckered into using PowerMax...that it really was $30/gallon better than the competition....oh its already got all the additives in it so thats why it costs more. "But we recommend that you go ahead and add AMS and NIS...."
Since then I've spent about $9/gal, continued using AMS and NIS....miraculously my weed control has been good. Arguably as good as PowerMax. Hard to believe, I know.
Used to use dry AMS in the 51# bags at about 2.5# per acre, and some kind of NIS normally at the top end of the recommended rate. This year I'm using an AMS/pH balancer called Tri-EZ at 4#/100 gallons along with PowerLock, which has replaced Joey Logano as the best thing since sliced bread. | |
