Its been a while since I used a hydraulic driven pump, but IIRC, mine had the 2 main lines, and a smaller 3rd hyd line that dumped back into the transmission case. I was told it relieved the excess pressure on the hyd motor to prevent blowing seals. Why only some have it and most do not, I don't have a clue.
