NE | We rent uout some for $45/ac. new fence,prob below ave. sandy soil. Another pasture we get $50/ac for. creek bottom,excellent grass,never needs fert. poor fence. I think these prices are too low actually. Pasture is in very low supply and high demand. You sure have to pay a lot for it if you have to buy it! $2000/ac with some crop land as balance. I really don't think pasture rent has kept up with land rent at all. Property taxes are approaching $20/ac. on just the pasture! We are prob. in one of the worst areas for prop. tax though. | |
